Ingredients for Gulab Jamun
For Dough:
Khoya(mawa)- 250 gm
Chironji-15 gms for syrup
All purpose flour (maida)- 3 tablespoons
Semolina - 2 tablespoon
Baking powder - 1/2teaspoon
For sugar syrup:
Sugar - 2 cup
Water - 3 cup
Rose water - 1 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon - Lime juice or may be a little less
Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Ghee for frying
How to:
- Sugar Syrup: Add sugar+water and boil till one thread consistency is achieved
- Dough: Mix crumbled mawa with maida,suji,baking powder.Add drops of milk to make a smooth dough
- Roll balls which are smooth in texture
- Heat ghee on low to medium flame,time to add jamuns and cook till they are brown from all sides
- Transfer the jamuns on a tissue paper and then add them to sugar syrup
