Rava idli is a healthy Indian breakfast and evening snacks idea.This is instant rawa idli recipe which can be enjoyed with sambhar and coconut chutney.
Ingredients with Mix:
1. 1 cup mtr rava mix
2. 1 cup curd
3. Baking Soda-a pinch
Ingredient list for Rava idli (if you dont have mix)
• Upma or coarse Rava (Sooji or semolina): 2 cups,
• Eno fruit salt: 2 tsp,
• Mustard seeds: 2 tsp,
• Urad dal: 2 tsp,
• Plain yogurt (curd or dahi): 1 cup,
• Water: 1 cup,
• Grated carrot: ½ cup,
• Roasted cashew pieces: 2 tbsp,
• Curry leaves: 8 -10,
• Fine chopped green chilly: 2,
• Salt,
• Cooking Oil
How to:
1. Prepare smooth batter which is not runny
2. Heat water in your idli stand/or in pressure if you have that stand
3. Greese your plates with oil and pour in the batter
4. Place the plates in idli maker and cook for 5 minutes on high flames and 7 minutes on low flame
5. Check the idlis with help of knife,if knife comes out clean the the idlis are ready
6. Allow them to cool before you demould them
Serve with Sambar
